Macworld Keynote Predictions
Published by Blake Macleod | Filed under Technology

Here are my top 5 predictions for the Macworld Expo Keynote announcements.
1. There will not be a new iPhone. We will most likely see a new iPhone in the 3rd quarter so it makes no sense to announce it now. An early announcement would stall all current iPhone sales. However, there will be a firmware update that will allow for 3rd party apps and better customization of your iPhone.
2. We will see an ultraportable notebook. I am guessing a 12.1″ touch screen with no optical drive. Basically a fully capable iPod Touch.
3. The Mac Mini and the Apple TV will merge into the iHome media center. 1 Terabyte of storage and a blue-ray optical drive. This will be tied into the Movie / TV rentals from iTunes.
4. Macbook, Macbook Pro and iMac spec updates.
The 5th prediction is not a keynote announcement, it is a stock performance prediction.
5. Apple stock will rise from the mid $170s early in the week and close in the mid $190s by weeks end.
Here is an interesting article about apple stock performance around the keynote presentation. Key Note Index Fund
